Hong Kong Badminton Open Commences 18 Meters 3D Painting installed at Hong Kong Coliseum To Promote Attractions of Hong Kong
YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships 2016 starts today (November 22) at Hong Kong Coliseum staging qualifying rounds and some of the main draw events of Doubles. Organizer sets up giant 3D paintings outside of the venue for spectators and citizens to feel the atmosphere of the 6-day Championships.

YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Badminton Championships 2016 starts tomorrow (November 22) at Hong Kong Coliseum with qualifying rounds and main draw events on the first event day. Although the top two seed players of Men’s singles, Chen Long of China and Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia are absent from the tournament, up and coming young players are ready to show off their talent and fight for the crown. China is aiming for gold to try and regain their prestige after leaving home empty handed in the last leg of Superseries.

Zhao Yunlei of China swept two golds in Mixed Doubles and Women’s Doubles of YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships 2015. The Chinese player, took the same titles in 2012 and 2014, has become the first player ever in Hong Kong Open who won 2 golds medals 3 times.

YONEX-SUNRISE Hong Kong Open Badminton Championships 2015 will put on its finale at 1:30pm tomorrow. Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia defeated Hong Kong’s giant-killer Ng Ka Long and will fight for the Men’s Singles crown with Tian Houwei of China. World No.1 Carolina Marin will play against Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in Women’s Singles Final. The Opening Ceremony with exciting performances will be held at 1pm.
